Peacebuilding in and through education.
The UN resolution 2250 on Youth Peace and Security (YPS) solidifies mainstream attention towards the participation of young people.
However, meaningful participation of young people in Peacebuilding remains hindered by discourses that not only dismiss young people as ignorant but also depict them simply as – drivers of conflict and therefore, society’s largest problem that needs to be solved.
We provide peace and conflict resolution curricular and animate structures in schools such as; restorative circles, peace theatres, and peer mediation committees – that allow young people to champion greater peace and conflict resolution influence in their schools and communities, build positive relationships, and showcase their positive experiences in creating change.
